- Apply NICE NG23 (2024) and BMS 2026 guidelines to diagnose peri/menopause clinically in primary care, including the role of testosterone Â
- Select the appropriate HRT type, route, and formulation based on individual patient risk profiles, including VTE, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic factors Â
- Describe evidence-based holistic and non-pharmacological approaches for women who cannot or choose not to take HRT Â
- Communicate the risks and benefits of long-term HRT using contemporary comparative lifestyle risk data Â
- Manage menopause in women with CVD risk factors including T2DM, hypertension, and heart failure Â
- Navigate confident consultations on symptom management and unscheduled bleeding Â
Menopause & HRT: Consultation Skills 
By the end of this session, participants will be able to: Â
- Conduct effective consultations, medication reviews and annual reviews with menopause patients Â
- Use effective questioning techniques to identify risk, impact and patient priorities Â
- Manage common difficult conversations surrounding menopause & HRT, including those with worsening symptoms and disease progression  Â
- Understand and implement good safety netting, counselling and follow up principles alongside clear documentation in all HRT and menopause consultations Â
